End week five, onto week six!

Had a pretty interesting weekend - I think I am starting to appreciate my rest day more and more each week! Friday was Kenpo X; still fun and getting more smooth with each week. I am to the point now where I can focus more on form and keeping my elbows in, etc., which has definitely made for a better workout. By the time kenpo is over, I am sweating as much as I do from Plyometrics!
Saturday was my rest day, and I took full advantage of it. I also took a SLIGHT rest from my super diet. I had family in from out of town, so when we went to dinner I decided to let loose and have some beers - something I had made a concious effort to stay away from. Granted all beer calories are empty and not necessary, I managed to refrain from drinking the dark heavy beer that is my favorite, and instead stuck with the much lighter Czech Pilsner... and I have to say, it was delicious! I miss beer.
Sunday was the beginning of week 6 - almost halfway there! But it was also "feel the effects of drinking beer for the first time in 45 days" day... so I spent a lot of the day napping and watching the Masters on TV. I put off my chest, biceps and triceps workout until after bowling - which of course went a half hour later than normal... so I didn't get to start my P90 until almost 10 o'clock! It wasn't too bad, though, because I sey up my laptop and watched the Sunday night Baseball game while doing an ungodly amount of push-ups, and it helped take my mind off the gruelingness of this particular workout!
Gruelingness aside, it is definitely paying off. The definition of my muscles is really starting to take shape. I can see it the most in my chest and stomach right now. I have also really developed my shoulder muscles - I look like an athlete again! My collar bone is still hurtnig a bit, but I have no idea why. I am just going to try and ignore it and keep pushing on... really hoping it doesn't affect my throwing motion come Thursday for the first softball game of the spring.. YEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

  1. I played softball for ten years! I miss it, I am trying to get a summer team together. Mark and I are going to start the P90X as soon as it comes in the mail, I am sure you will be hearing from us!
